What do I want to carry into 2026?

Stability for my passion for music, food, and storiesβ€”both inside and outside my home.

And why?

Music was one of the first sources that gave me a sense of a safe space, alongside therapy sessions. Then came stories and food. No matter my mood or mode, music was thereβ€”to offer relatability, perspective, and connection.

I prioritize these three passions more intentionally in 2026 because they recur the most in my life since therapy and are reflected in how I celebrate holidays, even when I’m alone.

Do I want to develop new habits in 2026?

Yes.

If so, which ones, how, when, where, and why?

Which one: Applying my three passions consistently at home has worked so far. I want to learn to combine these passions with stability outside my home.

How: I am still discovering this.

When: Preferably during my cycle peak, when I am most open and stable.

Where: I am still discovering this.

Why: My passions can create pleasant associations. Finding this safety and connection outside could reduce feelings of loneliness and anxiety, which encourages me to go outside more often, try to open up, and connect.

Which possibilities in 2026 evoke a curious, enthusiastic, and/or excited feeling in me?

Being able to combine my passions successfully through my own effort, while being permitted by default, would feel amazing(I imagine :))!

And why?

Because my sense of safety would increase, and I would create meaningful memories, even if they are small, slow, low-risk, but significant and valuable to me.

What does my ideal New Year’s Eve look like?

Sleeping in a hotel near the beach after a celebrationβ€”even if it’s small and privateβ€”and trying to enjoy a spectacle, like fireworks. The next morning, I would wake up, have a nice breakfast, leave my things in a safe spot, and join the New Year’s dive.

Then return to the hotel for a warm bath & shower before heading home at a calm pace. Sip a cup of tea at home, with a smile on my face reflecting on the past year, the New Year’s celebration, and look forward to the year ahead.

And why?

I also want to be rewarded with one of those orange hats :)! Plus, I love the beach. It’s a fun way to experience the beach again, even though it’s not summer yet, and to do it together with others.

Doing it together feels like, β€œthis thing called lifeβ€”we’re in it together.” It seems like a great way to set the tone and start the year.
