What do I want to leave behind in 2025?
And why?
Which memories from 2025 make me feel proud and/or grateful?
And why?
What do I want to leave behind in 2025?
I want to leave behind rigid thinking regarding narcissism. For a long time, I have suppressed my own need for appreciationβspecifically my sense of self-worthβout of an intense fear of resembling my toxic parent mode.
I sense that disowning this part of myself leads to unhealthy shame. While I can relate to this mode, I am becoming more aware of my freedom of choice and my ability to try to make healthier choices.
And why?
Because seeing the complete pictureβthe radiant and the raw sidesβmight allow me to feel completely loved. I think that through this, I will be able to restore my self-image.
Now that I have created a safe space by listening more to my boundaries, needs, and feelings with the help of professionals, I want to grow from a place of wholenessβhealthily, step by step, at a pace that fits.
In 2026 I am choosing self-compassion and a warm embrace for the rawest parts of me, with retroactive effect.
In therapy, I learned to collect proof of my healthy adult mode(positive reinforcement). How I choose to apply this therapy tool depends on my child mode’s needs.
In 2025, I focused on my need for fulfillment, specifically life direction. While regularly practicing this, I became more aware of my freedom of choice and felt able to meet this need more.
Even if the steps seemed small, low-risk, and the pace slow, they met my needβmaybe because my input was considered. In 2026, I’m adding my need for appreciation, particularly self-worth. Iβm curious to discover what I will become more aware of through regular practice.
1. I am proud of my internal freedom, growing and deepening step by step.
2. I am proud of my courage to survive, live, and thrive at my own pace.
3. I am proud of my expressiveness and the way my whole body communicates.
4. I am proud of the strength and depth of my identity.
5. I am proud of how I carry my uniqueness as a source of strength.
6. I am proud of my freedom to be completely myself.
7. I am proud of my beautiful light, which shines even brighter combined with the light of others.
8. I am proud of my rituals that bring me joy, even if theyβre small and private.
9. I am proud of giving myself permission to shine, play, celebrate, and enjoy fully, even if itβs small and private.
10. I am proud of being the center of my own intimate party, even if itβs small and private.
11. I am proud of discovering ways to put a smile on my own face, even if itβs small and private.
12. I am proud of giving with care without losing myself.
13. I am proud of my own pace.
14. I am proud of what has been given to me and how I express my gratitude for it.
15. I am proud of the joy, warmth, and energy I bring.
16. I am proud of how I live and let live.
17. I am proud of giving myself the space to create freely, and of having the courage to let my own light be seen.
18. I am proud of the gentleness with which I look at myself.
Which memories from 2025 make me feel proud and/or grateful?
I am grateful for having felt more depth within connections, by opening up step by step.

And why?
Because being met exactly where I am, in a state of safety, allows warmth to truly reach me.
The more I let that warmth inβwhile my healthy adult mode soothes the fears of commitment and abandonment of my child modeβthe less lonely I feel.
I feel more connected. This, in turn, encourages me to be open again about where I stand, with the hope of meeting others and connecting even more deeply. Such a great gift.
My healthy adult mode tools β to create β for 2026
Throughout 2026, I intend to create/revisit:
- A vision board: Although I find it difficult to choose the imagesβas in previous yearsβperhaps due to my self-image or lack thereof.
- Positive reinforcement for my healthy adult mode by writing down evidence of its presence on small notes and placing them in a container.
- An emotional regulation plan for the coming year.
- A calendar for 2026 to mark moments of rest and celebration (pillars π€).This will include the option to cross off each day, regardless of the circumstances.
- A prayer list.
