New S.M.A.R.T. goal
Due date: September 29th, 2023
Within the next 72 hours create a new task list based on priority, utilizing the Eisenhower matrix I completed within the last 72 hours, and explicitly state the duration for each task. First half of the list on wednesday and the second half on thursday.
I need to set priorities because there are a lot of things I want to do, and all feel very important, but I only have 24 hours in a day. That’s why, within the next 72 hours, I am setting out to create a well-organized task list. This list will serve as my roadmap for the upcoming weeks, and perhaps even months, ensuring that I tackle the most crucial tasks first. I allocate time estimates to each task with careful consideration, ensuring I have a clear understanding of how long each one will take. This step is crucial for effective time management in the days to come.
I have decided to use the Eisenhower matrix, a powerful tool I recently completed, to guide my prioritization process. The matrix categorizes tasks into four quadrants: urgent and important, not urgent but important, urgent but not important, and neither urgent nor important. This method helps me separate the vital tasks from the less critical ones.
Wednesday
I begin with the top half of the completed Eisenhower matrix for my task list creation. I carefully review my matrix and start populating the list with tasks from the “urgent and important” and “important but not urgent” quadrants. These are the tasks demanding immediate attention, and I want to ensure they have a prominent place on my list.
Thursday
On Thursday, I focus on the bottom half of the Eisenhower matrix to finish the priority task list. By the end of Thursday, I have successfully completed my task list. It is a well-balanced, prioritized roadmap that will guide me through the upcoming weeks and months, allowing me to tackle my responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
