At first, exploring Bumble and Tinder was exciting, but today, after the last two weeks, it has made me question if I am truly ready for the world of scrolling and swiping.

I just deleted the apps as my – old pain – thoughts drained too much energy. It’s time to reset my priorities.

I miss the connection of meeting someone in person, looking into each other’s eyes, and seeing how it feels. So, besides the energy drain, it’s hard for me to predict how eye contact with a person would make me feel. Eye contact is very important to me when connecting with people I desire closeness with.

My new goal is to create a welcoming home, have the financial means to take the initiative in ☕️dating (even if they decide to cover the bill), and enjoy cooking meals for someone.

For now, I’m leaving behind the world of swiping.

P.S.: I’m keeping one other dating profile up though, until I am not. Oh well, one step at a time.
