🧸 Q-time 🧸

Volunteering for the elderly.

By writing letters as pen pals, which works well with my current energy. It has a homecoming feel, perhaps with a touch of nostalgia, because my parents come from a similar generation (1951 & 1956). There’s something reassuring in recognizing their way of being β€” their atmosphere, language, and wisdom β€” which gives me a sense of connection.

In an ideal situation, with more peace of mind and inner stability, and therefore more energy, I would visit an elderly person once a week for an hour: simply being present, offering a listening ear, or sharing a warm drink and sitting quietly if that’s what they need.

This aligns with my core values: peace of mind comes first, followed by hierarchy. Before therapy, hierarchy was my top priority, reflecting my toxic parent mode, which I am now learning to relate to in a healthier way.
