Until I can buy dry beans in larger quantities, I opt for canned beans. When I can afford these dry beans, I like to cook rice along with the black beans.

I might need to save up for a pancake maker or, at least, a pan with a non-stick coating to make the process of preparing a arepa di arros/riskoekπŸ‡¨πŸ‡Ό more enjoyable. Until then: mango sorbet.
