I’m trying to find a hairstyle that suits me*. It should cater to:

– My desire to wet my hair daily in the bath.

– My wish to shampoo three times a week.

– My desire to have a neat hairstyle when going out.

– My wish to wear my hair loose, combed out, and stretched.

– My aim to minimize the use of hot air on a daily basis.

– The amount of hair on my head, even if I have to cold blow-dry it daily with a blow dryer brush.

– My desire to apply a braidout, twist out, or bantu knot out for shape and structure on my blow-dried hair, which may take longer.

– My desire to protect my natural texture as much as possible.

– My wish to do a wash and go daily within a certain timeframe.

– My desire to grow my hair out.

Some solutions I consider are:

Solution 1:

Letting my natural texture go and applying keratin without formaldehyde so I can do a wash and go more easily and quickly. Hoping to keep my hair as healthy and natural as possible.

Solution 2:

Reducing the frequency of soaking in the bath, so with my head and hair underwater, and doing it once a week, then applying a twist out, etc. For example, on Friday evenings, wearing braids, twists, or bantu knots. From Monday to Friday, wearing my hair loose.

Solution 3:

Being a bit more patient and maybe doing more research on products that currently exist to do wash and goes and reduce shrinkage(preferably without a jar of gel costing €10 a day). While continuing to care for my hair, braid by braid. Because I actually hope such a product exists or that I can easily create it, then there’s no obstacle anymore.

*I guess I might be low-key high maintenance.
