While I’m deep cleaning other areas in my life, Iβm starting to notice even more things to clean up, including my wardrobe(step by step :)).
During my cycle peak, I make more of an effort to dress up, mainly in bright colors. During my cycle restβlike todayβIβd still like to feel put-together, even at home.
Thatβs why Iβm on the lookout for a dark-colored ‘uniform-outfit’ for in and around the house; something for lounging or cleaning thatβs easy to throw on and off.
Feeling more put-together might reinforce that ‘Iβve got this’ feeling, while embracing a raw, dark tone winks at my more melancholic mood.
I’m going to try it out and see if it provides the extra boost I need when my energy is lower during this phase of my cycle. I’ve tried wearing bright colors while feeling down to lift me up, which felt more like pressure to do away with my unpleasant feelings and put on a smile regardless.
This made me feel unseen. I prefer to feel seen and soothed. My best version in the latter scenario is more calm, with a less curated smile, I imagine.
Iβm starting to notice a pattern in the colors I prefer during each period, but right now, I just tend to throw on whatever is clean and available. Itβs mostly clothing I bought during different phases of my life, without much intent or cohesion.
My goal is to buy a specific number of this uniform-outfit so I can just rotate them throughout the week.
Currently, my main choices are either a random variety of clothes or my ‘neat’ clothes meant for my cycly peak momentsβneither of which feels completely okay to just take out the trash.
Since Iβm being strategic with my budget, I want to nail this home-uniform outfit.
In an ideal world, Iβd love to shop just for the fun of it again, but for now: the things I actually want to impulse-buy are wayyyyy*π out of my price range!
