I’d love to discover French cuisine more. I noticed this preference when I started making dishes like a cassoulet-inspired meal on Wednesdays and trying to gratin my tutu on Sundays. These efforts began with ingredients I grew up with, such as white beans, which eventually turned into a cassoulet-esque dish. My interest then led me to consider buying a French cookbook. Now the idea of tasting dishes in a French restaurant also connects with my sensual side, a side often awakened in romantic relationships. A few weeks ago, I decided to explore this aspect with or without my type of man. Today, I read a menu from a French restaurant in my city. I read French words, translated them, and googled images. Dishes like confit poultry, gratin dauphinois, and lava cakes, and searching for sweet red wine, made me feel curious and excited about trying more items on the menu. I felt like I did when I was a kid in a candy store or a toy store—so much good to choose from! I felt so overwhelmed by excitement that it became harder to simply translate French words into Dutch, so I closed the menu for a moment. I love the anticipation, preparation, and execution loop that I apply to holidays at home and now try to apply to events outside the home. That’s why I like to write about it. This tasty journey connects with my sensual side. And yes, I imagine sharing these experiences with my type of man. Ultimately, if I really enjoy tasting different dishes in this cuisine in several restaurants, I might invest more time and effort in French cooking classes and even go on a cooking holiday in France, enjoying the scenery, putting my experiences on paper, and maybe even doing wine and cheese tastings! All of this mainly to enjoy and upgrade my home-cooked food to my heart’s content and feel inspired to try new ingredients, techniques, etc. A whole new world opens up for me! If I had an abundance of money, I’d dare to dream of exploring Michelin-starred French cuisine restaurants to satisfy my eager curiosity and excitement—also because their plating techniques wow!—and to discover endless inspirations for my homemade meals. This vision of the future is incredibly romantic and beautifully optimistic. First, realistically, I need to find a thong in the same color as my bra to match🥲.
