Thank you for protecting Leentje. You made her childhood traumas less painful. You made those memories less terrifying. You protected her from feeling too unloved, lonely, powerless, desperate, distraught and unseen. This protection is not needed anymore. Move over. I am here. I respect, accept, support, protect, reassure, comfort, encourage and love Leentje. I communicate her boundaries, needs and emotions, if necessary with the help of others.
