SCALP TYPE

Scalp looks dry, but hair looks oily..

HAIR THICKNESS

  • Picked five hairs out of my detangling brush. Three out of five of them seem like fine hair. The other two seem normal/thick.

HAIR DENSITY

My ponytail is big. I wondered why my hairelastics broke so easily. I guess I need stronger ones, to fit my hair density.

THICK OR THIN

  • The thickest hairstrand I could find. Probably out of the back of my head.
  • This is probably a hairstrand out of the front of my head
??: The back of my head.. the back.. the Bach..

Okay.. so before I got distracted by the Bach and Debussy I was figuring out if my hairstrand is thick or thin. I’d say thin.

HIGH/LOW DENSITY

I bet the circumference of my ponytail is 4+ inches. I can’t see my hairscalp on this picture. I’d say high density.

DAMAGED OR HEALTHY

Hair tangles easily? When dry: Yes.. can’t run my fingers through it.. When wet: No, can run my finger through it

Not growing? No.. it grows

Scary split ends? No

Hair snaps/stretch when I pull it? Snaps

Time it takes to dry? Airdrying 80% takes about an hour

In this hairstyle it looks shiny, or when I wear it in a bun.

CURL PATTERN

Is much longer and bounces back when I pull it out.
  • I’d say 4B/4C with a ‘normal’ amount of hairproducts
  • 4A-ish with a lot of hairproducts
  • 4C without hairproducts

Conclusion

I have: a dry scalp, mostly fine, thin, high densed, healthy 4A-C hair.. I guess
